Life slips by so quickly. It doesn’t have a duplicate and no one will live forever. It is a privilege to be alive. What can we do with our moments to maximize their value? Once a day is gone, it is irreversible. We must make a good attempt to live our dream to the fullest

Whatsoever be your pursuits, do things that really matter to your purpose for a living. Some run the race of life as if they are chasing shadow, a rat race. They engage themselves as if this life won’t expire. They do not put to mind that everything is temporary. From the beginning of your arrival here on earth, the end is set by your maker. If you remember history, you will ask yourself ‘Where are those that lived before? They’ve all gone. All hand must be on deck to avoid waste of resources.

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. Mae West

Are you doing something or you do not like the something, but you have to because everybody else does? Why following the crowd. Everyone has their live to life. Whether you believe it or not, we shall all give account to our creator. Sop looking at what others are doing, mind your own business and concentrate on what you want to do and what you want your life to mean at the end of your journey. If at all you must do a thing, endeavor to do it right

Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay. Simone de Beauvoir

Is someone asking ‘when is the right time to do the right thing you imagine’? The time is now.  Volumes of books have been written on this but I opine that you should follow your instinct to guide the decisions you make on a day-to-day basis.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

A Time for Everything

3 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2     a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3      a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

4      a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5      a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6       a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7        a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8       a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

Optimize your time! First things first. No one knows you better than yourself; then take advantage of your body’s natural rhythms and plan around it. What are those things that  perfectly fit you each hour of the day? Think about all the things you do in a given day, from eating meals and cleaning, brainstorming ideas and holding meetings to mention a few. Believe it or not, there’s an optimum time of day to complete every single one of these activities. When you discover it, you will achieve much more and your life will be better for it

Why giving excuses? If you want to do something, you’ll find a way; if you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.

Excuses are rationalizations we make to ourselves about people, events, and circumstances. They are invented reasons we create to defend our behavior, to postpone taking action or simply as a means of neglecting responsibility. Excuses are mainly a means of placing the blame of an internal problem on an external condition.

It is easy for some people to explain away why they didn’t, couldn’t, shouldn’t or just wouldn’t do something? Challenge yourself to take full responsibility for the events and circumstances of your life. Excuses prevent one from living life to a full potential. Benjamin Franklin said ‘He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else’.

Are you afraid of mistake? ‘Someone said One who makes no mistakes, makes nothing at all’. Don’t worry if you make mistakes. Only people who dare, try, and persevere, complete their tasks and achieve success. Making a mistake is part of life. But the secret to moving on from your blunders is to learn from them.

“If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not doing anything. I’m positive that a doer makes mistakes.” –Coach John Wooden

Mistakes come from doing, so does success. No one is immune to making mistakes. We all make mistakes! If you want to live a greater life, you should consider taking a step beyond mistakes. Fail forward.  Don’t let your mistakes discourage or deter you form being you. Reorientate your attitude. Don’t give up if you make mistake. Making a mistake and learning from it doesn’t make you a failure; you learned something! Now, go apply that knowledge and experience to your life, and keep going. Keep learning. Challenge your mindset. Mistake is all in the mind. What you consider a mistake might seem perfect before others.

Be true to yourself don’t copy anyone. You’re original. Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry. It is not an offense to conform to the expectations, values or worldviews of others. Always be a first-rate version of you and not a second-rate version of someone else. It is more gainful to build your life from the inside out. Be yourself, but always your better self.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Abraham Lincoln said ‘In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, It’s the life in your years’

Focus on the right things and just do the best you can. Don’t allow yourself to be crippled by stress and self-loathing.

The right people for you will love all the things about you that the wrong people are intimidated by. Set your mind free. Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles; it takes away today’s peace and potential. Life is too short. Your biggest limitations are the ones you make up in your mind. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Life is a book and those who do not educate themselves read only a few pages. All education is self-education

Ensure you keep an open mind. You’re not the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or a week ago. You’re always growing. Experiences don’t stop. That’s life. Sometimes there are things in our lives that aren’t meant to stay. Growth and change may be painful sometimes, but nothing in life is as painful as staying stuck where you don’t belong.

Choose only a right purpose for your life. You have to choose the path that feels right to YOU, not the one that looks right to everyone else. It’s always better to be at the bottom of the ladder you want to climb, than the top of the one you don’t. So don’t wait until you’re halfway up the wrong ladder to listen to your intuition. Every morning, ask yourself what is really important, and then find the courage, wisdom and willpower to build your day around your answer

Prioritize your time. Identify what’s most important to you. Prune nonessential commitments. Eliminate as much as you possibly can of everything else. The mark of a successful person is the ability to set aside the “somewhat important” things in order to accomplish the “vital ones ” first.

When you’re crystal clear about your priorities, you can painlessly arrange them in the right order and discard the activities and commitments that do not support the ones at the top of your list

In conclusion, we need wisdom to get the right things done the right way all the time. Knowledge helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. Right knowledge is the compass of life. It gives you the vision to know, to anticipate, and prepares you for the events in your life.

Your knowledge gives you the power and the ability to be and to become what want to achieve in your life. In other to put the knowledge to right use, you must know whether you have the right knowledge and whether you have the right conditions for using the knowledge

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children

Hosea 4:6

Knowledge is important. You cannot deny that. Even to make simple decisions in your life, you need knowledge. You need it to make your way through the forest of life, negotiating the dangers, and reach your desired destination.

Ignorance is not absence of knowledge but absence of right knowledge. You may possess knowledge, but if it does not serve the purpose or help you to realize your goals, you cannot consider it a right knowledge. Therefore, intelligence is also important to know which knowledge you require, when to use it, how to use it and when to keep quiet.

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 4:5-7
